Beyond language, ethnicity, race and sex, each person has his or her own unique set of health beliefs and practices that can vary by age, gender, religious beliefs and socioeconomic status. This Cultural Competence for Healthcare Providers course, offered by our accredited school partners, addresses these issues head on by helping providers to become more knowledgeable about the patients they serve, more aware of the various sensitivities they may come across and more responsive to patients’ particular needs.
