Description: This course presents information pertaining to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), particularly Titles I & II. The course, offered by our accredited school partners, targets general audiences who seek to better understand HIPAA and how it impacts them personally or how they should comply with HIPAA standards in their day-to-day operations. The goal of this course is to increase the learner’s awareness and understanding of individual rights and responsibilities under HIPAA so they can improve the safeguarding of health information. Instructor Description: This class is an independent-study course. Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material. A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment. Requirements Internet Access
