A poor hiring decision can be expensive and has a negative impact on team productivity and moral. However, hiring the right person can have a positive short term impact, when the new hire contributes to the organization, and a long term impact as this employee develops and helps the company grow. Although hiring managers have the final say on most hiring decisions, Human Resource professionals, internal stakeholders, and those who will be peers to the future new hire often participate in the hiring process and give advice on candidates. This course, offered by our accredited school partners, gives a general overview of how a hiring manager and others can ensure a good hiring decision is made.
