This is a comprehensive refresher course designed to cover medical surgical nursing, maternal nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, and pharmacology. The course is designed for the RN with an inactive or lapsed license or currently licensed RN needing to refresh knowledge and skills. This course will be a combination of online coursework, on campus skills review and check-off, on campus simulation clinical component, and will utilize electronic health records. The course will prepare students to work in the following settings in an entry level position: Medical surgical areas, OB, pediatrics, and psychiatric areas.
Pre-Course requirements: RN’s with a current license, inactive, or lapsed license will qualify for the course. In addition students who have graduated from a nursing program but need a refresher course for licensure will also qualify.
