Shield Metal Arc Welding


This course will teach students Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in either the 5G-Vertical Up or the 6G-Fixed Position for pipe welding and 3G or 4G positions for plate. The course will teach the students what to expect when taking the American Welding Society (AWS) certification exam as well as the ability to weld. This course will be in accordance with ASME Sec. IX and clause 9 of AWS D1.1.
